My best friend got his first snake! :)

My best friend named Erik has always had a love for snakes, and just like me was not allowed to own one growing up because of his family. Once I started keeping them he would come over constantly to hang out and hold the hissies. Our favorite thing is to play video games with Gauge (who he calls Gog. lol.) wrapped around us. He totally fell in love with Aly, they make the cutest little couple. :)

Well, finally after getting on his own and hanging with mine, he decided he wanted to get his own corn! :D So I gave him a lot of information/books and helped him set up a home. After showing him Ians Viv with all the colors he decided he wanted a blood, preferably a pied one. So I hurried to my email to contact the beloved breeder in our area that I knew breeds them, Kyle! :) And yesterday afternoon Erik and I had a wonderful visit with him, during which Erik got the snake of his dreams. ^_^

So, since Erik doesn't have a CS username yet, let me introduce his gorgeous boy which he named Daxis. Dax for short. :)

More to come in next post!! :D

Dax is in love with Erik's hair. He always goes right up there when he holds him. I think Dax thinks he's a turban.

You can see Erik's cat in the background. (I know his name but I'm not sure how to spell it. I think it's Khu Shu.) He watched the snake for a little while but then lost interest and walked away. You can also see some of Dax's pied by Erik's middle finger!

He's such a chill snake. He just loves getting comfortable and falling asleep. :)

I must say Erik and I are absolutely thrilled with Dax, especially Erik! It almost makes me jealous he isn't mine. :p Lol. I've never seen him so happy before, he's been all smiles ever since. And he wants to get some plants for his habitat. (We tried to last night, but the stores were all closed before we got to them.)

We plan on having a little party for him on Sunday when we feed him. Which reminds me, I almost forgot to mention his weight! He weighs 183 grams! A strong healthy boy! :)

Awesome post!! WOW, a pied for your first snake?!!! Now THAT is awesome.

Erik looks so happy, it looks like he will really be a great snake owner. He's one of us! Dax looks absolutely amazing as well. They're a match made in heaven.

Also, I'm jealous of your friend's scarf. I had a green checkered scarf practically identical to the one he's wearing, and like many of my winter hats, skeleton gloves, and scarves, it has been mysteriously lost over the years. :(

Thanks you two! :) I'm so happy for him too. He's getting off of work soon and he can't wait to go home and watch Dax explore his new home.

I'll pass the compliments along. And Jessica, the snakes absolutely love his scarves. He has one that is a very loose knit and about 14 feet long. The hissies love tunneling all over through it. Lol. :)

yeah that blood is awesome..nice choice Eric! Hurry up and get a cs account see we can check Dax out some more! Thanks for posting this great story!!

Hey Bree, Thanks for bringing Eric over to get "Dax". He's a very nice guy and it's always awesome when you sell a snake and have no doubts that it will be taken good care of.
It was great seeing both of you...now about those Crestie babies I have for you...or the other bloodred male...lol

I'll have to go visit Erik and see how he's doing. From what he tells me he's becoming more and more impressive! :) And I believe his pied is getting larger too?!? Erik recently moved to Cleveland, but I'll definitely get a hold of him for an update!
