OK this is what ive done i set up a small viv with water about two inches of water at the bottoma bowl with some of that spongey stuff, a heating pad to warm the water and a and a 60 watt bulb alsow to warm water and air temp the eggs are in a bowl with the top at an angle to prevent water from dripping on the eggs now the [et store said this should be air tight but that just does not sound right is ther anything else i could do

i got a good clutch of tweenty one eggs and this is my first time any help is good help

Congrats on your first clutch!
I'm having a bit of trouble getting a visual on what you're describing, but I did see a potential for a lot of heat, and no mention of a thermometer. Ensure the incubation temps remain under 85F.
What spongey stuff are you using? Direct contact with water (or excessive humidity) will quickly be apparent, distinguished by clear "windows" at the bottoms of the eggs, or wherever the humidity affects the shell the most.
Air tight is ok, most people ventilate (burp) their air tight egg boxes weekly or twice a week. Air tight will maintain the humidity high, and the temperatures more stable.
Congrats again, and good luck with your expected babies! :wavey:

well i thought ther was to much heat so i turned off the bulb i have a thermometer it is about 83 degress there is no direct contact with the water and eggs i put the top at an angle so the water does not fall on the eggs instead run off into the into the breeding substrate (thats what the spongey stuff is called) i could take a picture but its all fogged up so it would not help

I've never heard of "Breeding Substrate", but that doesn't mean there's anything wrong with it, lol. Sounds to me like you have a great chance of having yourself some cute little pippies in a couple months!
