I didnt brumate them over the past winter but I did put them together this past spring he was interested she wasnt. Today I put her in his tub while I was cleaning hers. They immediately for sure locked up I could see it. So since she was receptive does that mean she is fertile? is there any harm in them mating this late in the year

I don't know about whether or not she's fertile but it won't hurt them as long as she's ready. Just make sure to feed her up so she has all the nutrients she needs to lay the eggs and keep her temperatures at normal.

I dont know her exact weight but she is plenty old and big enough. She is in perfect shape for breeding. She is about 4 years old and eating weaned rats once a week.

I agree with Katie/Dracoluna.
The female should be just fine with a late breeding/laying. Whether, or not, she is fertile will remain to be seen.

it's KatiA lol, everybody gets my name mixed up :p

shouldn't be anything to worry about though if she's in good shape to breed. they really can breed any time of year, it's just usually they don't WANT to. so if they're breeding, then fine.

perhaps nothing will come of it, but if you want a clutch, keep pairing them i guess.

Redcoat what countery do you live in?is this a late breeding or are you in your spring?
