My creamcicle... is he unusually long?

My creamcicle is less than 5 months and already he is 24 inches long. (Early Nov. '05 hatchling) I just got scale about a week ago and was able to weigh him for the first time. He's 35 grams. I remember reading somewhere that creamcicles tend to be longer due to their genetics, is this true?
The pictures below are ones I took about a months and a half ago (about a week before one of his sheds).
He just seems unproportionately long (with a skinny head) compared to some of the other snakes I've seen on here. And he seems very long for his age. Maybe it's just my imagination.... What do you think about his size?

ps... this is my first time trying to post pictures, they aren't showing up when I try to preview my post. What am I doing wrong?

I think he looks great! Nice and chubby! I am not sure about creams being longer due to genetics, but I know nothing about genetics, so we will wait for someone who knows about that stuff to answer that for ya! My late 05 normal was about 24 inches in January, so I think that growth is normal. I think.....:) yours looks good anywho!

He looks good to me! It sounds like he's well within the "normal" ranges for length and weight, and by the pictures he looks okay. I think sometimes we just tend to worry about our own snakes. Also, looking at other pictures online can sometimes be deceiving, imo.

Just for future reference, pictures that are added as attachments won't show up when you preview your posts. Pictures that are linked to (like with photobucket) will show up when previewing. You may have already figured this out, though. :)

Lovely cream! Since there is blood of the emoryi ratsnake in creams, they tend to be a little larger when hatched and heavier built, about the lenght I'm not sure, I think emoryi's tend to be less long as adults so creams might be a little shorter too, though heavier built.

looks great to me. I have an 8 month old Amel that last measured in at 28"

Not unusual in size for his age - there is lots of variation. Original creamsicles (first generation or two direct cross to emoryi) tend to be shorter actually and heavier-bodied than comparable corns when they are mature. The babies from corn X emoryi direct crosses can be much larger than pure corns, and they grow fast to their first year or two, but then slow down and have more of a tendency to thicken up as they mature. Many creamsicles are far removed from direct corn X emoryi crosses and often have an increased percentage of cornsnake, which makes them indistinguishable from pure corns.

very pretty little guy!

They vary a lot!! That can be within the normal range. Some hatched then will be feeding on fuzzies now, some will be on large hoppers - there is a lot of variation - some might still be on pinkies if they came through a pet store and were on a 'maintenance' type of feeding program - just a lot of normal variation.

I have two adult brothers - one weighs 500 gms, one weighs 950 gms - almost twice the size and both are normal.
