So, my possibly gravid female is eating like crazy!!!!! She's making me mad because she will not accept hoppers ONLY live full grown mice!!! The male that she was caged with is not eating at all, so I have all of these hoppers that I have to wait for them grow up so she can eat them. I don;t know if this is a sign that she is pregnant.

usually females will go off feeding about 1 to 2 weeks before laying. before that, they usually eat their normal meals. The only time I have noticed that females/males eat more than normal is when you first bring them out of Brumation, or just after the female has laid her clutch. are you sure that you don't have them confused with each other?

Yes I am sure. The male won't eat anything, but that's normal for some males during breeding season. The female is eating like crazy. I have no idea if they mated or not because I had to put them together due to the fact that some of our cages broke so we had to put them together. This was only a week and a half ago, but just to be on the safe side, I put a lay box in her cage. Ever since then, she's been eating like mad.
