My First Bearded Dragon

I picked up my first baby bearded dragon a few weeks ago and he just recently shed so I figured I'd show him off. I actually have no idea whether or not he's a he or she and he's still nameless.

Cute! I believe you can sex them at that size, and it's pretty easy.

That thread has links to good male/female pics, and has a picture of my female, Isabel, taken in the correct shot (rear end facing you, tail lifted up) that you need for sexing. Either you can just look yourself, or you can post a pic and I can try to tell you. Don't bother with the belly shot, that doesn't really tell you anything.

if you want, post some pics of the under tail. and maybe some of us will also be able to help you make certain. if its at a point that you can yet. id try to help at least. i know others would too.

I got him out and checked. Looks to me like I've got a male. It was hard to get good pictures, but here are the two that turned out.

Do you guys agree that he looks to be a male? Now he just needs a name.

Darn. If it was a girl, I was going to suggest "The Amazing Bearded Lady." ;) Maybe Filet Mignon? (Ooh, I want steak now..Beardie steak!)

Congrats on the beautiful little boy!

I'd go with male. You're so lucky- you don't have to have a slug laying festival three years from now!!
