Corn snakes rule!
Hey everyone! Earlier this year I thought I was going to have to move and most likely would have had to have found new homes for all my snakes that I have grown to love and cherish. Thankfully, though that didn't end up happening. But in the process of thinking that we were going to have to move I had a good friend of mine Cris take my gravid female Libra and keep her until she had layed her eggs and she was willing to keep them for me and incubate them until they hatched. In the time frame I had found out we could stay here in our home until at least next August 2014. :) So, well the first clutch of this year has hatched and Cris sent photos of my new babies. They started hatching April 2, with 18 of them out as of April 3, 2013. She said earlier today that I had two more sticking noses out and 4 that might not even hatch but not sure as of yet. Here are some of the photos I've gotten so far.

This pairing is of a Normal Motley female x Silver Queen Ghost male.

Congratulations!

Congratulations on the arrival of your new babies they are all beauties, if they were mine i would want to keep them all lol. I think that is why my hubby does not want me to get into breedding in the future lol :)

Thank you Nanci!

I will be getting them on Monday hopefully by then they will all be out of their eggs! I have found out that the 4 bad looking eggs 3 are actually good. There are 2 that have pipped and one that is starting to. The 4th is all yellowish inside, and gooey. So, I think that makes the total 23 babies. Libra my normal Motley female is getting ready to double clutch and my oldest girl Diamond is also in her pre-lay shed. So, I'm getting very excited about all these babies!

juliegarner- Thank you very much! I think they are all pretty too~ I would keep them all if I had the room and the money to take care of them all. Plus, I already have soooo many as it is! I just doubled the snakes I have with all these babies! :)

Plus, I have more coming down the road. And I just put my female Normal -Rose with my Amel male Bindi. I know Bindi and Rose are both het hypo, het anery, and Rose is het amel. They for sure hooked tails up last night for about 20 or so minutes. I should get some Anery, Amel, Normal, Hypo, ghosts, and snows from Rose and Bindi's clutch depending on how many eggs she lays which has been up to 30 eggs the last couple of seasons. On top of that two other girls are getting ready soon to lay eggs! :)

Both Diamond my Anery female and Libra have had their pre lay sheds and should be laying in the next week or so. For me it's right around 8 to 9 days after pre lay sheds. I'm crossing my fingers for both these girls to have good healthy eggs and have no problems while laying or eating afterwards!
