My first Snake Hugo. So Pretty

Hello everyone.
I would like to thank everyone for the valuable information I have absorbed over the last few weeks.
This is my first snake Hugo. All I know for sure is he (if he is a "he") is Amel, aside from that possibly Reverse Okeetee. I have everything I believe i will need to keep him happy for years to come. I purchased him from petco. After reading lots on hear I know I am not the only one who will never buy another animal from them. He had mites, lots of mites. When I went back to Petco to let them know that the 5 other baby corns probably had mites, there response was. "We check them once a week for mites." I explained that they more than likely have mites since I noticed them on my snake 2 days later and I do not own any other reptiles. They still did nothing, I was very disappointed. I washed his tank daily and gave him 45 min. soaks then coated him in reptile relief until I got Prevent-A Mite a week ago. He has been on paper towels until yesterday, but no more mites on him or on the paper for 5 days so I put some PAM treated aspen back in. I have no idea how much he weighs but he looked very young, he gets 1 f/t pinky every 4-5 days, no problems eating or pooping.
Tell me what you think.

That's a very beautiful, normal patterned Amel. It looks very healthy! The only thing I would potentially change is that you may want a smaller tank (for now) because the snake is so tiny. Gorgeous little snake! You should make a progression thread!

Beautiful amel! I like the pattern on his tail. He does look very healthy now. Congrats on (hopefully) getting rid of the mites! From what I've read, I think getting mites is one of my biggest nightmares!

Beautiful baby and congrats on the success with mites. I would warn you though to get an under tank heater and ditch the lights. Your temps look a little high and a common mistake that I have made is your thermometer shows humidity and unless it is in the tank that is the humidity of the room not the tank. Heat lamps suck out humidity and I bet the humidity in your tank is low. I made that mistake with my ball python, thinking his humidity was fine with the lamps but then my husband reminded me that unless its in the tank its not reading the tanks humidity.

However there are tons of people who use lights but an under tank heater is more recommended.
