Taking some pictures tonight and thought I'd show off my home-made 20gal long "rack" my dad and I made from scratch. All the drawers are on sliding tracks...

Very nice. Can I borrow you for a weekend? I play nice and I'll return you when you're done :crazy02:

I placed red-bulbs in those for night-time viewing. I have the big lamps with white light on a timer and the red lamps on a timer to turn on opposite the white. They're just too good looking to leave in the dark ;)

Also when breeding season approaches I can play with their "daylight"... timers are key

yeah, I'll eventually towel the top of the cages and the reptibark holds humidity well. Reglardless, this has been the setup for 2+ years now and I haven't had a single bad shed by any snake in these tanks yet.

maybe its more an issue with aspen then :)

That is a great design. How long did it take to make? Any dimensions would be great!!

I am trying to get all my tanks/cages in one place and that looks perfect for what I need.

We just measured out the 20 gallon long dimensions and the hood/lamp dimensions, sketched something ugly out on paper and just built it on the fly with room to spare for tanks, shelves, lights. We must have spent at least an hour in home depot trying to find the straightest boards in the "cheap wood" section. If I remember it was about $100-$150 in wood, nails, screwed, brackets for drawyers. Not too bad. Wish I had the time, tools to sand and paint it (varnish or something) although the natural wood look is kind of nice...

That looks so good! The sliding tracks are a wonderful idea. I may have to borrow it.

WOW! That looks amazing! Can I borrow you as well?? And I am not sure if it is just the photograph and the proportions or what but your snakes look monstrous!!!

Should we take a ticket with a number on it to borrow you for the week end to build one of these? You dad is also very welcome too...lol
It looks absolutely brilliant!

The bedding is reptibark, I swear by it as substrate. The ONLY issue you have to be careful is sometimes the bags can contain wood-mites which you then have to devise a way to get rid of...

thanks everyone! :)
