Hi. My boyfriend and I just got ourselves a corn snake yesterday. We had one before, but he only ate live food, and we were having trouble getting him to eat. This one comes from a store that feeds them frozen mice, so we're hoping to not have that problem again.

Hello and welcome!
If you ever plan on getting more (snakes), definitely go to a breeder, or an expo and buy from a recognized breeder! :) That way you'll know the snake's history and health.
Feel free to post photos of your new little one in a week or a couple weeks after it's settled! We love photos ;)

Be sure to check out the care sheet on the main page for anything you may have missed, or to correct anything the pet store may have said that could be inaccurate!

All the best.

Welcome to the board. Great place to find information pertaining to your new scale baby. Be sure to use the search function for any burning item you may be thinking or curious about. There's likely to have been past threads on similar questions a lot of the time.

That being said, we love to help regardless. Just good to know if your threads aren't always answered right away.

Also, great pictures in the gallery section that are sure to increase addiction levels... just sayin'... lol.

Welcome! Let him settle in for about a week before you try to handle him, change his water but otherwise let him be.

In the meantime, there are great info sources here, read all the "stickies" at the top of each subject, and Nanci has an awesome info sheet in case you forgot anything. It is good that he eats F/T, much easier and less harmful.
