My Leopard Geckos

I was cleaning bins today and decided the geckos were past due on updated pictures. I didn't get many good ones they did not want to stay still lol.

First two are females

Really nice leos! Are you planning on breeding them?

I'm hoping too. The group picture is when I introduced my male to my two females. They weren't happy at first and there was a couple little fights but they seemed to have relaxed now and everyone is getting along.

Nice! I bet they'll produce some good looking babies

I love how Leo's always have that look on their face like they are plotting something evil.

Nice looking leos.

I'm looking to get a few insect eating geckos again so I have a real reason to be breeding insects, but I have had such bad luck with them... all two babies I've ever gotten have gotten sick or died, one adult (well, was about 9 months) dropped her tail and stopped eating, then died. My big girl was the most boring animal ever and hated handling, and decided to stop eating and lose weight quickly before dying. A baby-sat leo (we estimate he was at least 11-13 years old) had MBD from a stupid teacher having him for so long before my teacher "inherited" him that year, and I babied him a bit (clipped legs off crickets and hand fed him, also held water bowls up to him), and while he was doing good, one morning he was just dead.

I might go with tokays. Or I'll see if Carinata has any AFTs that get my attention.

But still, lovely looking geckos. I just hate how there's so many freaking terms for the morphs. It's ridiculous. >_<

What morph is the second male? He's awesome!

I think he is just a normal Leo, he wasn't sold as any special morph.

Nice looking leos.

My leos don't really like to be handled but they weren't young babies when I got them. I haven't had any issues with them. I had one I adopted that had MBD that eventually had to be put to sleep but all my others have been good.

My tokays are pure evil and I probably never would have owned them if I didn't find them outside my bf's apartment. They are pretty but nasty.

My AFTs seem to tolerate handling more then my leos and don't try to run away so I like them more but the leos come in prettier morphs.

On Pangea's forums, there's a few people with tokays who breed them, or are going to. I hope to experience tokays and perhaps get into that as well. Tokay morphs are popping up and looking GREAT, especially the leucistic and caramel.

AFTs aren't very attractive, IMO. They have similar colors, and patterns aren't obvious and mainly come across to me as a label to up the price.

We bought my daughters leo when he was very young and he loves to be handled. He lays on her chest, will ride around on her shoulder, will arch his back for her to stroke it, lifts his chin when she's stroking under his chin. She has handled him a lot from the very begining though.

Oh.... I thought ALL of them, Leos, Afts have many different morphs.

I do remember seeing a AFT site with a variety of them.
Just found tha site, with a lot...

I love Google and links.

Well, yes I'm guessing your right. I'm not into either one of them so I don't care. I just did a minute search on them and AFT for a site with pictures. I was just commenting to your statement of.. "They have similar colors, and patterns"" on AFTs, to show that there is variety in them, thats all. And from the link I posted, the AFT are pricey so that's more reason I don't care! lol. But overall, I would think that some breeder, no matter what they breed, snakes, Leos or pet rocks, do put "labels" on them to up the price.
But if you are informed on the species .....you can sort these breeder out.

The first female is a super snow blizzard, the second is a Raptor with one snake eye and one solid redish black eye. The first male I believe is a blizzard, he was bought from a pet store so he wasn't labeled and I think the second male is a high yellow.

I meant that with AFT morphs, not AFTs and leos. :roflmao:

Cool leos! DO you knwo the genetics of any of them?
