My new addition! Big Roth!

JonnnyAdam

Owner of J. Meyers Co.
Hey Everyone! Just adopted this big guy yesterday from Animal Care & Control. He is an Amelanistic het Unknown. Around 10 years of age, 4' long, and weighs in at 452 grams!

Took some pictures of him today. Enjoy!

This next few show his color really well. I think he might be one of the 'special' colors of Amels, but I can't figure it out. If anyone thinks so, let me know.

Nice!!! and good job on rescuing him!!!
can you try to get more belly shots? I can't tell if those white marks on the bottom are soposed to be checkers, but if they arent, he may be het, or homo for motley!

Nice acquisition nothing 'special' other than he'll probably be shedding in the next week or so and then you'll really see what his colors look like. :)

Cornsnake124 - Yeah, I will get more belly shots posted soon.

Drizzt80 - I really hope he'll be shedding, cause he feels like he needs a good shed.

He is actually the 2nd corn that I have adopted. No reason to have them put down when I can give them a place to live.
Believe it or not. The owner had Big Roth for 10 years and then turned him over to the ACC because he hasn't eaten in 2 weeks. My guess is that he is just doing the whole "I don't wanna eat" thing that males do around spring time. He is a great snake. Very easy to handle.

Alright, I have a couple more pictures of his vent patterns.

As you can see in the photos, the reason I was thinking me might be alittle more than at Amel is cause his reddish orange color is fading into the ventral coloring. I thought it was supposed to stay white with the checker pattern? Not have the dorsal color fade into it.

Gorgeous amel! He has some wonderfully rich coloration but doesn't classify as any of the selectively bred varieties (although he is close to Rich's fluorescent oranges). He has lots of belly checks so isn't motley.

oh. Just couldn't tell if those white marks were checkers, or were just there. I was also looking farther down twards his vent where you couldn't see the checkers that good. but he does have some striping below his vent, but I know that is common. Its weird because in one big spot you can see the checkers easy, and in another big spot it almost looks similar to a bloods ventrical side because of the amount of red on the stomach.

That's an almost exact copy of my amel, except for size. As far as I know she's special, but only to us.
