I don't know what to call him yet, but I love crowntail bettas, and I've been meaning to get another one for ages. Then I saw this little inkblot, and fell in loooooves. He's black, but has some intense blue sheen going on when the light hits him right.

He hates snakes more than his own reflection, sooo. I showed him to Twix last night to see what the snake would do, and the betta puffed up and strutted around and stuff, and Twix was just like ZOMG! WTF IS THAT?!?! GET ME AWWWAAAAAAAY!!!

I'm thinking about calling him Ahas, which is snake in Tagalog. Or Captain Ahab. Maybe Bruce, or Harvey Dent. We shall see...

nice coloring on that guy. I have a crown tail also and he was unnamed for weeks. Finally i just called him Betamax. I wonder what you paid for it's enclosure? I seen those before and thought they were neat but awfully expensive. I saw some on clearance at petco one day for like $4 but I didn't need it.

sweet betta. I've got a pair of crowntails that will hopefully get it on soon. Last time they both looked ready and I put them together, my male Henry VIII just ripped up the females fins and chased her around for an hour. Didn't seem to interested in breeding even though he'd been working on his bubble nest for some time. She's almost healed so hopefully soon, I'll have crowntails coming out of the woodwork.

He's gorgeous dear! I love his colors. They are subtle, yet they scream at the same time. I used to breed Crowntails, but just got to busy to keep up with it. They are by far the prettiest fish out there. :)

I love the bettas, I used to have one and after he died, I just never got around to getting another one. Might have to change that.

Yours is gorgeous!
