My new pets (scorpions!!!!)

Hey!

Today, I went out with my father moving some rocks, rubble, plants etc looking for spiders, because I want to learn how to handle them and my father is able to teach me (he is a retired forest guard, know how to handle a lot of animals, even the venomous/poisonous one, that's pretty cool)...

Anyway, we decided to move some rocks nearby a house and there they were, about 20 scorpions taking a good nap lol. My father quickly slaped 5 of them into the icecream pot with the lip full of holes (that's what I use when I need to transport some animal).

The specie is Tityus serrulatus (Escorpião Amarelo in portuguese, yellow scorpion, translating it literally, I don't know if you guys have a name for it). Anyway, Hope u like it :D

Neat! We had a lot of scorpions when I lived in Arizona. I loved going out at night and catching them with a blacklight and a pair of tongs! I didn't ever handle them because the ones I caught were AZ bark scorpions, which have a very nasty sting, but I enjoyed looking at them through a glass container. They have those neat little feather-looking things underneath them.

I overcame my fear of scorpions once, and held one. One of those giant black ones. It pinched me...
