My newest scaly baby

Got myself a new snake today. Ball python weighing 539g. Got him from Sean Casey animal rescue. He was a bit of an impulse buy though and I need to buy a few things for the perfect set up. I'm also a little worried that he may have an RI, since he's been gaping a bit on his own and seemed to have some saliva. Sounds like he might have something in his nose that rattles too. I'm going to hope that he just has a shed flake in his nose and is a little stressed and dehydrated from travel. Isolation starts now and I hope to try feeding him next week. Good luck!!! Poor baby, I hope he feels better - he's a very pretty BP - for a normal morph the orangish colors seem to be really bright

Ugh. I was right. He has an RI but the vet prescribed a dose of ceftazadine every 72 hours for the next month or so. Better let Sean Casey know. :/
