My beautiful Athena looks like a he, when comparing tails with other males. I wanted a female. Mistakes do happen even by breeders. How old is to old to check by popping? She/He is over a year old. Do you think I should get her/him probed to be sure. All my snakes are from breeders. My daughter wanted to breed her/him with her big boy down the road.

Name change possiblities: Athos, Attilla, or Dispater . Sorry not Alan.

Thank you for reply. I only have one male old enough for breeding purposes. Wish list just changed to all girls.

I think you have to get her probed to be sure. Tail shape is not accurate. There is a method of counting ventral scales which is pretty accurate- you could search for that here. Still- you'll only know for sure if you probe.
