:shrugs: Hi everyone,
I just recieved a new baby corn. It´s an anery and very healthy looking exept for one thing, he´s got a smal scratch under his head. It doesn´t look infected and it looks as if it´s all dry. Is this something I should woory about?

Also last night I offered him food...he smelled it a couple of times but then he didn´t show any interest. I know that it was almost a week since he ate and he is not about to shed. Can this have something to do with him getting a new home?

some snakes become extremely stressed when moving homes and may not eat for a little while. Don't worry, chances are that when hes hungry, he'll eat. I'm not quite sure what you mean as a scratch. Is there any way you could post a picture? All corns have a line on their lower jaw that runs parallel to their body

it doesn't sound...

like something you need to be concerned about. my snake occasionally has cracks in his scales, little scrapes, and dark dots on his head. i was concerned at first and brought him to the breeder to be examined. he told me it's nothing to worry about and when he shed his skin everything was gone.

i never had a problem with my snake refusing a meal, sometimes i have to be patient with him, but he usually takes the pink. try again in a few days, it's nothing to worried about. if he's in a new environment he'll start eating once he adjusts.

Hi surfrkid...
Sorry but i cant send you any pictures right now since my camera i broken. Maby i can be a bit more specific... I am sure that its some kind of defect under the head, it´s a bit swollen and it looks as if it´s dry blood (don´t know the word for it) as well. He doesn´t seem to be in pain when I touch him and it looks a bit better today than it did yesterday, The thing is that I´ve heard so many scarry stories about snakes getting infections thats why I`m asking....

Thank you föt taking your time everyone
