I have a almost four foot corn snake, he is 3' 8" on december 31st thats why i said that is he is ABOUT 4' long about 9 monthes old and he eats 2 big mice on ice on every tuesday night. I bought him in march as a baby when he was 13 in. long so i think he was about a month old then. Last tuesday he didn't eat so i thought since its winter the snake doesnt eat as much. so i put him back inside the cage(with a heating pad on the bottom) and this week i took my snake out and put him in his feeding cage and he didn't eat again and i don't know whats wrong. Does he hibernate this time of year???

Some males, especially during breeding season go off their meals. However, I don't think Dec/Jan qualifies as breeding season..
Is he going into shed, maybe?

What did you do??? Feed it miracle grow??? If your snake is almost 4 feet long, I have a hard time believing he is 9 months old. I would think he would be older! How long have you had him?

What are the temps on both ends of the tank? What kind of heat source do you use?

If it is cold, then he may be in "brumation," which is what it is called when snakes "hibernate" for the winter. They don't actually sleep...just slow down...so it's not called hibernating.

i just got the shock of my life.......4 foot ,9 month snake!!!!
