My snake just had his first shed

I've posted here a few times about my baby snake Cameo. Well, he just had his first shed today. I was wondering why he didn't want to eat anything even after being with me for about a week. I'd called the pet store where I purchased him and they said that maybe he wasn't used to his new environment, and to leave him alone and try feeding about 3 days later. He, for the second time, just refused to eat the pinky mouse. I then noticed that he had a little skin coming up on top of his head. I THOUGHT he was about to shed, but I wasn't sure. I've read on here that first their eyes turn blue? :shrugs: But nonetheless, he did shed, and now I need to know from the experts: What should I do now? Am I not to touch him for a few days? Is his skin sensitive now? When should I try and feed him now? Please help... KeKe :wavey:

You should feed him right away and be very gentle with him.
Give him enough pinky mousses until he stops eating them.

I see you have an albino corn, those are hard to tell when they are ready to shed.

My sister has an Amel and it was a surprise when it did shed because we really could not tell it was in its blue phase.

The only signs for her's is that it hid for those days until its skin did come off. Her snake would eat while in shed, while my corn does not.

Your snake is ready to eat, I would try feeding it tonight.

:crazy02: Thank you both very much...btw, I posted on here on another forum about my ball python dying about 2 weeks ago (very sad) but I'm proud to say that I have another one that I picked up today, that's much healthier than the other one... :crazy02:
