My snake room (2 pics)

Can't Keep A Secret
Or rather, my snake corners. Because the snake room is in my bedroom. LOL!

I just got a new cabinet off Craigslist and have spent all day re-organizing, so everything is actually presentable!

Corner #1 - Homemade rack & storage, plus CL cabinet. Poor, lonely, baby Roxy is the only snake living in there right now.

PS: You can see how this corner used to look before the upgrades in this thread HERE. It was bad.

Corner #2 - AP rack with all the adults.

I am honestly so very pleased with this setup. It fits the space, is completely functional, and looks pretty darn nice! :D

Now I just need to start planning the next upgrade for hatchlings. ;)

Thanks for looking!

Are those binder clips on the adult rack? If so, I really like that idea. Much prettier than my cardboard wedges!

Looks great Cynthia!! I'd go crazy with those white walls- I'd be trompe l'oeil -ing all over them!!

Indeed they are! I bought a mess of them when I thought I'd need to clip tub lids down. Then by accident discovered that they fit those rack shelves perfectly!

Thank you!

I've slowly been talking my husband into getting some color on the walls in the house. When we moved in it was ALL white, cookie-cutter house paint. (Except the guest bedroom, which was/is a slightly more tan color.) We've painted a bathroom and the nursery. I am working to get some color into our bedroom, but it's a slow process. In the meantime, I just keep hanging things up on the walls.

If you can't paint the walls, you can hang pretty quilts or Mexican blankets on the walls!

It looks great! I think at some point I'm eventually going to venture into the tack system, but I'm still only at 2 corns so I'm not in a hurry to do so.

I was _really_ reluctant to get my first rack. I would _never_ go back now that I have them! But I pretty much only like the 66 quart racks, so...

I wish I had the room for the 66qt racks. I really love the extra headroom, but my available space is so tight. I can make room for one more AP rack if I need it (2 total), and if I used it for two 66qts racks... well, that still isn't room for future expansion!

Someday when I have my own snake room...

My next purchase is the adult rack with the 66qt. tubs! I have a small AP rack I just got. I already love it and I havent moved any snakes in yet! LOL

Cynthia, I can not wait to have a snake room LOL
