She just shed and for the first time, is showing some yellow. I had no idea Snows had yellow on their sides by their neck! I hope the name is not someone's horrible joke...LOL

Do they? I am just learning about the different colors and patterns. It looks like you have a baby snow as well?
 
Yes, snows do tend to get some color, yellow being one of the common variants. Some are actually line-bred for the subtle colorings they get.
 
Yellow snow is a very bad thing. Don't touch it, step in it, and for the love of god don't eat it.
