Mystery Shed!!

So.. Rolo went blue on the 6th almost a week ago now. Two days before he went blue I gave him a bath because I know end awful at shedding and thought it might help.

He cleared up two days ago but I still have no shed...

I got him out today to give him another bath to easy the shedding. As I was bathing him I noticed he was more vibrant and looks typically like he does after shed. He's underbelly checkers are bold and black and his head is a lovely orange.

I've sifted and sifted through his viv but there are no signs of a shed... He usually takes a while but I'm confused how pretty he is without a shed. I know before his checks on his belly where dull and vivid

Has anyone experienced this before? I have a photo I took about half an hour ago of his underbelly.

Typical rolo. Posted this. Hear a rustling. Go over to his viv and he is literally shedding in front of my eyes!!!

How cool I get to watch though!

You were fooled by the clear phase! I remember thinking the same thing with my first snake. I was sure she had shed but I couldn't find it anywhere. And then lo and behold, she shed later.

The bath definitely helped. He used to shed in six or seven peices when I first got him. With some love and care we have a complete shed yesterday!!

And Myca as far as I'm aware he is just a normal :)

Yay! Yeah, I don't know why they enjoy fooling us, but they go blue and a few days later look like a brand new snake. And THEN the shedding begins!

Glad you got to witness it, it is pretty cool, huh? My husband got to watch my biggest almost 6' boy Bootsie shed from tip to tail, and then he even got him out and checked his tail and eyes to make sure they were clear too! Aww, good snake daddy! He wasn't expecting the shed to be as wet and icky as it was, as I leave the sheds on top of the tanks usually for a few days and they dry out quickly, he didn't know it would be like unfolding wet toilet paper!

Yeah it was cool. I was so proud when he shed all in one [emoji23] he usually sheds in like seven bits! It feels so weird doesn't it. I live in a pub and when I got it out I ran downstairs to show one of the girls on the bar hahah.
