Here's a quick question. Snakes without any melanin are going to be senstive to the sun (if my I remember my bio right) so are they ok to take in the sun? I'm guessing their eyes are going to be subject to UV damage. Anyone have experience with this and know if it's ok to take Amels out on cloudy days perhaps?
Thanks for the help,
Danaish

Here is an answer to you your question! This is my amel Bobo out with me in the backyard behind my house. In the sun too. As far as I know, they do just fine. I've taken mine out a few times and he doesn't seem bothered.

Agree with above - occasional exposure to natural UV during short trips into the garden with you, won't be a problem.

Having artificial UV in a Corn's viv/tank is a different situation altogether and not recommended.

Thanks for all the help, I'm sure Prometheus and Chimera will enjoy a little time in the yard before it gets too cold; I'll keep the sun time limited though.
Thanks again,
Dana
