Fed Ex tracking.
Snake comes some time tomorrow.
Temps are good for travel.
Temps are also good in the tank.

I always underestimate how heavy and cumbersome that big tank is. This one is actually an extra tank I grow plants in (plants bumped out onto near by table w/o even their grow lights hooked up - oh well, its temporary, and life isn't fair)

An even bigger Exo Terra was ordered (from some secondary Amazon vendor I probably shouldn't haven't trusted), but hasn't been shipped yet. That was days ago... I sent an e-mail to the vender, and they cheerfully replied: "Oh, the mfr. has to send it, it might be two weeks." That's not what Amazon said!!! Grrr. Good thing I'm not counting on the new tank to arrive anywhere close to when it was supposed to. There may be a flurry of very angry e-mails out to Amazon and vendor soon...

Anyway, back to the snake. I'll probably not sleep all night, and then oversleep the morning and not hear when the Fed Ex man comes. (On second thought, three dogs barking should wake me up.)

BF and I were admiring one of the the kings this evening; we watched as he lava-lamped up a branch, hung down from the ceiling, and with exquisite control, lowered the rest of his body to the ground. Amazing. This is the same BF who, back last summer said, adamantly, "No Snakes In the House."

Been there. I didn't sleep much. From the tracking times I even figured out which plane and tracked the FedEx flight to Chicago on FlightAware. Set alarm but didn't need it. Saw truck park in street and waited in door while FedEx lady read box and tried to figure it out. I told her what it was -- harmless baby snake. First sign that all was well was a flicking tongue seen through the deli cup.

Been there. With you in spirit. Best wishes.
