I just got my first snake :) a cute little albino. Beautiful coloration with vibrant red and wonderful markings. I don't know if it's a girl or a boy, but I plan to really look at its tail to make my best guess once is acclimated. However, if not I'm chosen it's gender to be male haha. So I need some name suggestions. Ideas?

Through examining the tail and using a flashlight, I've determined I've got a female on my hands :) Decided to name her Mango

How do you use a flash light and examining the tail do you reach the conclusion of the sex.

I have a snake I've named princess and was told it was a female but I'm too terrified to pop her/he as i have heard u can hurt them and i have never done it before lol

Since mine is albino I can see through her with a flashlight. So I held a flashlight on her back by the vent and couldn't see hemipenises. Also looking at the vent and tail after if immediately tapers off after the vent it's not likely a girl. Boys have a longer section at the same width after their vent or even bulge out sometimes.

My thoughts on popping and probing is leave it to the professionals. If you don't have experience don't do it. That's why I stuck with the flashlight and tail method.

This is my snake , now mind u she looks extremely pink not sure why.

She has a white body, with pink saddles and yellow down her side

Would the flash light trick work on it ?

Yeah definitely should! Just find her vent and hold the flashlight on the other side, as the belly is easier to see through clearly. Look to see if it has the hemipenises.

I tried but she/he wont stay still and I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking at lol.

And i keep blinding myself with the flash lighy
