Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.
She did find it a bit difficult having to move around and hit each key with her nose, however. I don't think I have to worry about her getting online and looking at naughty things when I'm not around.
Don't tell her, but she's going to be a big sister in the near future anyway. When she grows up a bit she might find that to-die-for Okeetee male knocking at the door, but until then, she'll just have to make do.
She's about a week shy of being a full-fledged yearling. I realized that last night and couldn't believe it at first. My little snake is growing up!
With her, I can't think of a time she didn't have a bit of orange to her, but comparing the pictures I took of her first few months here to the most recent ones, I can see she's coloured up quite a bit. Such a pretty lady is she. How old is yours?
I don't know. He was 12 inches long when I got him march 31st. Now he's 24 inches. I got an '04 after that and she was only 14 inches long, so I'm assuming he is an '04 as well....
I could be wrong though.
Here is my most recent picture of him from 2 weeks ago, dull and waiting for a shed -
Mary-Beth, one reason yours probably doesn't have as much orange is that yours looks like a classic and the Wilder's is an Okeetee. That could explain it, unless yours is just a late bloomer.... :shrugs:
He was sold as an Okeetee, but I wouldn't be all that bothered if he isn't. Here is a pic from right after the shed before this last one, I somehow managed to forget to have a photo shoot with him after the last shed. His reds are really nice, and his boarders are nice and thick, he just doesn't have any orange yet. Wilders snake is so much prettier because it has the red AND the orange.
Wow, he does have some nice borders on him! Narya's aren't so bold, but at least I can see them now. They weren't quite so noticable before this last shed. I didn't think they got thicker as they got older, but I'm not complaining.
I went looking for her 'baby' pictures and found this one of her first day home with me. She was close to four months old at the time... thought you might like to see how tiny she was! I was right in remembering that she was showing orange even then, even if it wasn't near as impressive as it has become. Snakes are so wonderful, they look a little different each shed!
