I have a question for you.
dos anyone of you know any breeder that exported
some snakes to Sweden last year?

Its like this, I bought a Ultra bloodred from a breeder here in Sweden
and she tells me that she imported her from US last year.
I think she picked them up in Hamm.

I have asked here for the name of the US breeder, but she refuse to tell me.
:(
Is it wrong of me to wanna know who she´s from?

My snakes is only a hobby and i love them all and I think its nice
to know where they from.
I just really want to know who my beautiful baby comes from.

Thanks for the tip! I will ask him.
And sorry for my spelling, it should be
I have asked her. Not, I have asked here :)

I didn't think Vinman was producing them. The biggest producer of those and that I know exports to Europe is Don at SMR. But if you show us a picture I can tell whether it was his or not. The quality difference will tell all.

Here is my little baby.

Good looking corn but are the eyes Ruby colored, I can't tell by the pics.
Sounds like she has something to hide!!!!!!!
John

Its hard to tell, sometime it looks like ruby.
Here is a pic from when she was younger and with flash.

And without flash

What do you think?
Is she Ultra ore Ultramel?
I suspect she is just a Ultramel. :(

That's why I am asking, if the eyes are not ruby or somewhere close she could have sold you a Hypo blood as a ultra or Ultramel.
I'm just not seeing some of the Ultra-Ultramel markers on the body, that may not mean anything but it could just mean she is a really good Ultra-Ultramel blood.
As I said she has something to hide!!!
You have every right to know her breeder but it's kind of hard after the fact.
John

She tells me that the US breeder docent want her to
tell hes ore her name.
I just think its sound really strange. :(
Why would any breeder wanna be kept a secret?
I thought they would be proud of their snakes.
She definitely hide something.
Well I will testbreed her in a few years and find out what she is.

Thank you John for all your answers!

That -DOES- sound fishy....although its hard to say. It could be for any reason...but if I were to ask a seller where their snakes came from, and they REFUSED to tell me...theres a good chance I would shop else ware. I'm not saying thats what you should have done. I'm just agreeing with you its a strange business practice.
Such a pretty snake though!

I was stupid enough to ask when I already got her.
But it´s ok, I love her all the same anyway. :)
And thanks for your kind words.

It could be a by-product from breeding trials of a potential new morph. Some breeders don't like to publicise the genes that they're working with - it doesn't have to be a negative thing.

I had a similar issue when trying to get to bottom of the "Super Hypo Ghosts" that popped up in the UK a few years ago. I was itching to understand the genetic background but the breeder simply wouldn't take direct communication, and feedback via the dealer when they asked, was vague at best.
