Too Far Gone
Hey All,
Okay...one thing straight...I know this needs to go to the vet. I have an appointment but I need to know what I can do to help in the meantime.

I just recently got my animals back from a friend who was watching them while I was at college.

One of my ball pythons (who is most likely wild caught)...has blisters developing. I did my reseach and from what I can tell it is blister disease. Now, I have her in a cage with paper towel and no water bowl ( i do take her out everyday and allow her time to drink if she wants to).

I have been soaking her in a little hydrogen peroxide and then rubbing her down with triple antibiotic ointment. It seems to be helping.

I would just like some input on what you guys think is the problem. I know what causes blister disease. As soon as I got her, her cage was washed and bleached and washed again and has been maintained dry without any moisture. Tell me what I am doing wrong. I don't want to lose her. She also is not eating and hasn't for a while. I know she needs to eat to help fight off infection but I have tried everything short of force feeding her. She is about 400+ grams.

Thanks Charlene

Where are the blisters? And all the Ball python owners in here will tell you. Balls are picky eaters

There are just a few here and there but they are all on the under belly or very close. She has a few ticks which I removed and some scabs too. Her belly is very pink and she isnt going into shed either.

Sounds like a burn to me. I'd deffinatly look up burn under the search. Theres a ton of threads on them.
