Need Live Pinkies

I have a problem feeder 2 month old corn that will not eat frozen pinkies. I need to see if I can get him some live pinkies to see if he will eat that.

I live in the Greenville/Anderson SC area.

If you can't get live pinks soon, have you tried boiled pinks? I know it sounds odd, but a lot of us have had great results with poor feeders by pouring boiling water over a thawed pink, waiting for it to go pale and rubbery, then offering it hot. I stopped breeding mice so had no live pinks for starting last year's hatchlings, and the boiled pinks worked about as well as live pinks ever did!

Thanks, it is certainly worth a try. Ill give the little guy a few days, since I attempted feeding last night, and will try this on the next feed.

The trick is not to pull the pinky out too soon. It has to go pale and rubbery! I don't know if it is the (noticeable) change in scent, but it is bizarre how well it worked. One other bonus is that a boiled pink can be reheated without going mushy and can be left overnight if necessary without stinking as bad as a thawed one. Good luck!
