My new corn has eaten 3 times normaly, but the last 2 feeding attempts he has tried to swollow his prey but spits it back out after swollowing about a third of the pinkie does any one know why this may be happening?
No the pinkie is the same size he has eaten before and all his husbandry is spot on. I think maybe I am startling him. I am gonna try to cover him when he eats and see what happens. Should I wait a week or could I try again tomorrow?
Either way. I don't see a need to wait. If you're scaring him you're gonna just need to leave him alone and let him eat. His instinct is to spit out his meal if he's in danger so he can get a away.
You're probably triggering it just by being there, observing, moving around there fore disturbing it.
I duck out of the room for about 10 min. and or only open the door a crack to peek in to check progress.
