Neodesha Plastics

Hi all, I have been fondling with the idea of getting a plastic cage for my corn snake and was wondering what everyone thought about NPI cages. They seem pretty solid to me, except I cannot help but wonder about lighting. I am also assuming that the bottom of the cage can handle an UTH. :grabbit:. Also does anyone know what the reason may be that these are designed for venomous species?

I don't have any experience with them personally, but I've heard nothing but good things about them. As far as being designed for venomous, it's probably because they are nearly escape proof, and designed with the highest level of security in mind. Just a hunch, though.

I have had a bunch of them over the years and I am not a fan of the angled shape of them in the back. i like the vision cages the best but they are sort of pricey (as is neodesha). I have never had an issue with either of them, just a personal preference. I would check out the ones at reptile basics, they are perfect for a large corn and the price is phenominal.

Neodesha cages offer lots of visibility, with no inherent hiding places, which venomous snake keepers appreciate. The vents also feature double (or triple) screens oriented in different directions, which prevent the snake's fangs from puncturing the keeper's flesh. They're light, stackable, easy to clean, and the glass door locks securely. They're said to be much better made now, and the glass slides smoothly in the tracks.

I'd probably go with Boaphile Plastics cage, Monster Cages cage, or others if I were to purchase a ready made cage however...
