Hey folks, this is just an update to the "possible prolapse" thread but since it was no longer about that, figured I wouldn't bump it. Got this girl from Don, thanx for the suggestion... anyway I know its hard to judge size from the pic but how many pinkies should I give her at a feeding session?

Wow, I love the Okees. Shes pretty. Not sure about pinkies but I would just start off with 1 if its her first feeding.

My favorite snake in the world! One or two would be fine. One is sufficient, and two is not over feeding.

I expect an '10 to be able to handle a fuzzy, all of mine can, even the smaller ones. Just feed a prey that is in between 1 and 1.5 times as thick as the widest girth of the snake. If it is just as thick, you can feed two next time if you want to. First feeding you 'd better be a bit on the conservative side.

I agree, she looks like she should be able to handle a fuzzy. It's always hard to tell scale though with these kinds of photos. Some breeders do keep their snakes on a maintenance diet, so it doesn't surprise me too much that it looks like she's undersized.

Perhaps for the first meal you should feed her a smaller sized meal anyway.. just so it won't be intimidating and you have a positive first feeding experience. You can also see how large the bump is. If she has no bump after eating a pinkie, I'd just go ahead and offer her a fuzzy on your next try.

Good luck with her, she is beautiful. Even with all those crazy morphs out there, a nice Okeetee is just a knock out amazing animal.
