New addition! (Phantom girlie)

Wilder

Y HALO THAR
I was up at 7am waiting for this snake to arrive. Naturally, she arrived at 10:20am. Eh, what's a few hours of lost sleep, anyway? ;)

Vilya says, "You wouldn't BELIEVE the night I had..."

Peeking through the paper in her cup...

And a quick shot before she was placed in her new home. Isn't she pretty?

The name "Vilya" comes from Tolkien's Lord of the Rings. Vilya was the third ring of power held by the elves, and since I used the names of the other two rings -- Narya and Nenya -- for my first two snakes, it was only a matter of course that this one would be named Vilya to complete the set.

Big thanks to the wonderful folks over at Cedar Creek Corns for producing such nice snakes and for the excellent customer service. ;) Thanks guys!

(...do I really have to wait three days?)

WOW! Makes me regret more and more for not getting more active in those auctions. GRR...

She IS a beauty! Congrats!

She's beautiful Erika. I think the name is lovely too. :)

And yes, you have to wait the three days. heh ;)

Bof... She is not THAT beautiful. I am glad I did not win this auction...

Joking of course. She is really gorgeous! Congrats Wilder!

Congrats. She's a gorgeous phantom, and after seeing some CCC adult phantoms, you just know she's gonna get better and better. :) Being a big fan of Tolkien, I love the name too. Vilya was worn by Elrond (as you already know). The only Tolkien-inspired name in my collection is a ghost I named Galadriel (wearer of Nenya, of course). :)

Ah! a fellow sister!

Gosh, I feel bad, I haven't even named the one I got. Hmmm...I'll have to try to come up with a special name for her. I'm so terrible with names. Just ask Chuck... Anyhow, glad to see she made it safe! I know you'll love yours just as much as I love mine. Though mine has a temper. Everytime I peek in on her she coils and is ready to strike! Maybe it's cause I haven't named her something nice yet...hmmm... Anyhow, congrats! She's beautiful already!

she is AMAZING! I love the name as well! ALL my snakes have names from LOTR! so I like the tradition ;)

good luck with her!

Here is to another phantom sister.. Me and Jen also have one of the sisters too... She got the name of Mica.. Most of our animals are named after rocks, gems, and minerals..

Regards.. Tim of T and J

Thanks for the comments, everyone. :) I hope to get a few more pictures when I have her out later today. I can't say enough how happy I am with this little one... it's going to be fun watching her grow up.
