New Arrival! (Satan Incarnate)

R.W.

Call me Richard
I have a new friend, that wants to kill me!:D
Here are few pics of the Kingsnake from petco I was talking about. Unfortunatley, they had already sold the Tang. Hondo by the time I got back.
You wouldn't believe how big a deal it was for them that I was actually buying this little guy. Litteraly the whole shop came to watch.
The second I got him into the bag, he bit on and constricted and wouldn't let go for a good ten minutes. I'm taking him( I say him but it hasn't been sexed yet) to the vet this weekend to get checked out and sexed. The guys at the shop lovingly named this little demon "Heather" because it just fits so well with his attitude. So thats the name I'm keeping. This is my first non-corn colubrid and its my first snake that is actually a morph, everything else so far has been normal.

I realize the humidity is a bit high and I'm currently working on the problem.

Beautiful snake - the eyes fit the attitude. :p

That humidity is high? Mine usually hovers between 50 and 80 - I thought that was okay.

Thanks!
I'm not too worried about, but I like to keep it closer to 40%.

I'm so happy he's finally in a good home! Maybe a stable family life will agree with Heather.

Zang! Look at those yellow stripes! You have a great new addition... im sure he/she will calm down with a little handling in no time. :)

If it constricted you it's probably just hungry. Mine will be docile (sometimes) when I handle her, but at dinner time she'll pop right out of the cage and come after me.

I find it so funny that you call "him" Satan Incarnate, yet "he" is named Heather from the store. Like the most innocuous female name there is. What if he actually is a male? Heather is a color, too.

I know, thats why I decided to keep the name.:D
If it is a male, the name Heather will stay. That probably won't help with the attitude problem...Ever heard the Johnny Cash song "A Boy Named Sue"?
