Quick run down of the must haves and basics for you just in case
Heating - One side room temp, the other between 82-88 accomplished with a heating pad, heat tape, of heat light. Heating pads prefered.
Substrate - IMHO paper towel. With paper towel you have no chance of the snake ingesting it. You can see mites and poo condition clearly if a problem arises and its easy to clean, and get the cage totally sterile. Other options are Aspen, wood chips, newspaper.
Enclosure - Tank or rubbermaid or homemade. Tanks are alright for viewing but suck for humidity during shed time and ventilation leaves something to be desired but they work. Rubbermaids rule for cleanliness and ventilation and heating options. Two hides in each enclosure. Warm side hide and cool side hide.
Water - Fresh. Changed often.
Food - Healthy feeder mice, preferablly thawed. Live mice present a huge risk to the snake.
Breeding - Normally around two or three years old they are ready but it has to do with size not age. A female that is 36inches + with good body weight should be ready. My first girl to breed and lay good eggs (so far) was 45-50 inches and laid 19.
Handling - Let the corn settle in for a week before any handling or feeding attempts.
And ENJOY! Corns are amazing, easy to keep, affordable pets!
