Hi
I Just got this little guy/girl. I'm new to snakes and corns so I am guessing he/she is a Norm. I'm trying to find a Dummies Guide to Morphs. There is a FAQ idea. Just the basics would be nice.
He's approx 10-14" long. He's too quick right now to measure or get a good shot of. "WE" are both still pretty nervous right now. He actually nipped at me and I jumped like a little kid. LOL. Didn't feel a thing but his quickness surprised me. I've only had him two days so I think we need some time to adjust to each other.
His upper portion of his/her body is more orange then his lower. Hard to tell with my crappy digital. I need to get my SLR cleaned up and use it.

Rook, your corn looks like mine, congratulations. IM a proud owner of a corn for only 1 month now.
As for your crappy digital camera, well either you don;t know how to use your camera (no offense) or you don't know the features of it (i had that problem).
My pictures used to be crappy untill one day i found out that my crappy camera has a macro feature.. SO check yours too.
Besides, nothing takes better pics that an SLR, but i never feel like taking out and put it together and spend alot of time adjusting each shot!

OOps i didnt mean to post your pic again!

And hey thanks for liking my stewie... I got a suggestion for FONZIE cause of the A Y on his head... which name do you think is better?

Yup, that's a normal.

Best to leave the snake alone (no touching, poking or proding) for a good 3 days at minimum. A lot of times aggression is simply because of the adjusting period and normally snakes settle down once they're allowed to adjust to their new home.

Hi Cursed_Witch
Thanks for the reply. Did your corn come with a classification? Mine didn't. Local PS. The snake person wasn't working when I went in to pick my corn up. I'm going to call tomorrow to find out some more info.
My camera is an old digital. 2.1mp. It's macro setting is very weak actually and the worst part is it only lasts for one shot. It's also very slow. If anything moves, including me, the picture is blurred beyond Photoshop. I really need a new one. I would love to get the Digital Rebel by Canon but it's a little pricey and I've heard some user issues with it.
With my SLR I have a hood I would use to take pictures through the tank glass of my fish. They seemed to come out okay.

I'm partial to Stewie. I'm a "Family Guy" fan. I like the idea of Fonzie though. I need to find a name for mine.

I thought I should leave him/her alone for about a week but when I was taking pictures the corn came over to my side of the tank. I thought I'd see if it was ready. Guess not. I hope I didn't do any damage. I haven't seen him/her for a while.
