New corn owner!

New member
Hey everyone, my name is Brittany, and I've been lurking on this site for a while and decided to join recently. I got my first corn snake about two weeks ago. He's a year old, his name is Calcifer, and I was told he's a bloodred stripe morph. Maybe you guys can verify this by looking at his picture. I was also told he's male, but I know that's impossible to verify by sight.

Here he is eating a fuzzy for me:

As far as herps go I've also got a male 5 month old bearded dragon named Majora.

Other than that, I've got three male rats (one black hooded, one white, and one hairless) and a male betta fish.

Anyway, I'm excited to finally have my corn and to be posting on the site. c:

Welcome, and that looks like a bloodred stripe to me!

Hello and welcome! I'm not super on morphs but I'd agree with blood red. However, it looks more motley influenced to me? Maybe a motley/stripe?

Stripe = motley stripe. Unless tessera is the new stripe....

Thanks for the confirmation! Some of the morphs look very similar and I find it all very confusing, but I'm sure I'll learn. His stripe is broken up into those little dashes in a few places along his back, but I figured that was just a normal variation on the stripe pattern. I'll try to get some pictures of his whole body and post them later on. He's very handsome. C:
