New Corn Owner!

Codeman_111

Hi, I'm addicted to corn.
Hey all!
I've been browsing the threads here a bit, and have decided to register myself as a new member!!! (Love the snakes w/ their owner pics!, read through all 65+ pages...)

I have recently saved my new corn from a local pet store. He's adapting to 'his' home quite nicely and has already eatin' his first pinky as of last night! (YAY!) He's still quite small, maybe a little over a foot in length, I would assume only a few weeks/months old? I didn't receive very much info on him from the pet store, so I'm not sure when his b-day was exactly. =(

Previously, I've owned primarily King's. I was lucky enough to find a beautiful Cali. King near Winston, Oregon. I kept her for about a year and a half, she was then released back into her natural habitat. She was a wonderful snake, and I was sad to see her go. I just couldn't keep her from what she longed for, to be back in the great outdoors... ='( Since then I've wanted another King and have been looking high and low. I've decided to fill the whole in my life w/ my new baby corn!

For now he's livin' the good life in a 10-gal aquarium w/ all the accessories. I'm using a day-glow lamp for 12 hours, then a 75w infared spot at night to keep the temp between 80-90. Humidity stays right around 50%, which seems pretty sufficient. Since he just ate his first meal yesterday, I don't have any pics quite yet.. Soon to come though! He's just your standard, run of the mill, normal coloring but he sure is a beauty! I'll be checking in throughout the week, and I'll post any updates as they come down the road.

Thanks for being here! :spinner:
