New Corn Snake Owner

Hey,

My hubby and I recently adopted a bonded pair of corn snakes. We also own 2 ball pythons.
There wasn't much history on our corns. Approx 3-4 years old. 1 female, 1 male. The female is almost 6 feet long. The male only about 3.5 feet.

Not sure what morph they will be classified as?
Here are some links to pictures if you guys can help me out! Sorry in advance for some crappy pictures. They were just taken with my phone.

Here is my female;
Minimal black and she is quite dull as she is about to shed already. So I am thinking she is either a normal or hypo?

And the male;
Has yellow all along his sides at the bottom of his pattern and along his mouth.

TIA! :D

Welcome to the forum!

Pictures will go a long way to help figuring out what morph they are. Also snakes don't form "bonded pairs" I do hope they are being housed separately. Again welcome and hope you enjoy your new snakes :)

The descriptions of the pics are hyperlinks. Figured it would be easier than posting a ton of pics.

Also, we were told they were tried to be housed separately and they became aggressive and would not eat. I know everyone is open to their own opinions, but we have chosen to let them live together.

Oh I see now. Female looks like a normal, I'm not sure on the male, maybe a ghost.

I would suggest at least trying to house them separately. "aggressive and did not eat" is very vague and does not explain at all what type of set ups they were in when they were separated. Like I said before snakes do not bond, it is actually stressful to keep them together like this. The male will be pestering the female come spring, not to mention the possibility of babies. Are you prepared to hatch those eggs and make sure the babies find new homes?

To be honest, I'd like to leave them together. They have been together for awhile from what we were told and going from their "home" to be surrendered to the petstore where they originally came from, where they tried to separate them for 3 weeks, then back together then to a new home (us), I would think is enough stress in the last couple months.
And yes, if the eggs are fertile then we are prepared to incubate, hatch, and home the babies or keep them as we are well equip with space. If we were not, then we would not have bought the pair as we know it is a risk you take homing them together.

As well as we have bought them a larger terrarium with multiple hides and lots of space.

Welcome to the forum! I hear and understand what you were told, but unless you witnessed it as a fact that they have been housed together for a long time I wouldn't just go with that. Please try separating them, there is so much that can go wrong when housing corns together. They are cannibalistic, and I would hate to hear you lost two when it could be prevented.

Please read this post, it really is important when it comes to this breed of snakes.
