New emoryibaby, almost plain belly?

My freshly hatched emoryibaby. It came out from the egg today and when I picked it up I noticed it's belly. It's almost plain!? Is that normal for emoryis? The parents got checkered bellys like any "normal" emoryi. :shrugs:

Yup. My Emoryi girl's belly is totally plain to about halfway down, then as you get closer to the vent, the markings increase. They're not even perfect 'checkers,' it looks like someone was dotting her belly with a Sharpie marker.

Cute snake, by the way. ;)
