SandStone Corns
Hi, wanted to introduce myself to everyone. I'm heather stotz- I've been keeping corns for awhile but am just now getting into breeding them. I thought since I might start posting on the for sale boards I better properly introduce myself. I'm living in northern new mexico right now, near the colorado boarder. I've been saving up for some nice morphs and started out right by getting most of them from Rich Z. They are all still quite small so I won't be don't any breeding this year, but you might see me posting one or two things I've gotten in a trade or won't be needing in my plans. I just started a little website, www.sandstonecorns.com- but doubt I'll be seeing any action until I actual produce something. Hmm, anyway that's me. If you have any questions let me know. Nice site!!

Hello and Welcome to the Forums!!! I like your site. It looks like you are going to have some nice projects in the future.

Thanks very much! I've been 'lurking' for awhile so I do feel as if I know some people, which is weird really, since you really don't know me. So I'll try to post more so it can be a mutual feeling. :-offtopic I also keep other pets too. I have 3 dogs, a cat, many, many ferrets (I do a local ferret rescue- www.fourcornersferretrescue.com if anyone wants to check that out, not snake related but I have heard the ferrets called 'snakes with fur' once or twice) I have 14 ferrets right now. They have their own rooms to run free in. I also have 2 sugargliders and a couple tarantulas (and roaches, if they count...my family always seems to count them when they are telling me I have too many animals :grin01: ). And of course the corn snakes. That's it. Can't think of anything else interesting right now. Thanks for the welcome, I guess I'll eventually meet more people on the boards. And so you know, I AM more of a lurker than a poster. As the saying goes 'better to not say anything and have people think you an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.' And especially here, since its in print, that makes it even worse! I'll try to search my questions first, but fair warning- I may ask some really stupid things. Just thought I'd let you know. I'll be shutting up now. :sidestep:

haha

Welcome. Sounds like you've started a very nice collection there! Have fun roaming the forums. Just checking out pictures and people's collections is pretty interesting for me.

I would have been interested in getting a ferret or two, but my parents are already close to their limit with 4 snakes and 4 dogs. Although more are coming!

Trust me, I didn't have anywhere NEAR this many animals until I turned 18. Then I got more when I moved out. I only had, lets see 1 dog, a few parakeets, a hedgehog, a few goldfish...that's it growing up. My dad doesn't like cats, my mom hates snakes. And they both like a, what's the word? *Tranquil* household. Which you simply don't have with alot of pets or doing a rescue. There is always someone needing something. Keeps you on your toes. And I haven't even been through a breeding season yet! Though I'm only keeping around 10-15 breeders, so it shouldn't be TOO bad. I'll find out soon enough.

Haha

That's how it's going to be for me too. 4 snakes will turn into 20, some tortoises and turtles if I can, some frogs (poisen dart?), ferrets, Guinea pig (we had one 3 years ago, but once she died we never got another!), lizards maybe,..... etc. etc.

There are quite a few people on here who have created their own, personal zoos. Hopefully I'll soon join in! Looks like you already have.
