Hello all,

My name is Dustin and I am new to this forum and also new to owning a pet snake. I just got an albino corn snake about a week ago and already he (at least I think it's a he) has become my best friend! He is very active and seems to be pretty happy so far. My girl-friend has a pet snake and my step-brother has a few snakes as well and they have both given me lots of information on how to care for snakes. I have also done some research on the internet before getting the snake. i came across this forum by google searching corn snake forums so that i could hopefully meet others with an interest in corn snakes as well, along with asking questions as they come up.

Welcome to the forum!

Are you saying you plan on housing two corn snakes together, eventually?

No, I need a bigger tank for the one I have now. The poor guy is only in a 10 gallon tank. Once I get a bigger tank, I was going to use the 10 gallon for another baby and then get another bigger tank before that one starts getting two big. I plan on keeping the two seperated.

I swear this is a major part of why corns/snakes are so addictive. It's like recycling. Once you move a snake to a bigger home, it just seems such a waste to have the smaller tanks doing nothing.

Okay, glad to hear it! I just wanted to make sure. Hope you don't mind.

Exactly what I thought! I just don't know what I will do with the small tank once I move the second to a bigger tank. Maybe I will use it to start breeding mice or rats for food.

Welcome fellow Oregonian :D for the temporary or permanent tank you can put him in a 41qt tub with a heat pad on the bottom.
