New hatchling rack!

Team Laura
I wasn't going to get anymore snakes this year, but ended up getting 3 breeding pairs. The way I had them set up was awkward, so today I built a rack. It's made of 1/2 inch MDF with the dimensions of 14 x 10 x 23.5 inches, and holds six 6qt tubs. I'm going to put flexwatt in pretty soon, but the apartment has been hanging around 80-85 degrees unless I turn on the A/C. Anyway, it turned out really well, so I thought I'd share!

The larger rack I built last year for the '06 and '08s. The black and green thing on the floor is a curtain that I hang on the hooks on top of it when I leave the apartment for the weekend, just in case the apartment decides to go in and look around. I rarely use it though.

The piece of paper in the bottom left is because for some reason, that tub doesn't fit like the other ones do.

(My room's kind of a mess, but that area is the worst.)

Thanks for looking!

Nice DIY rack!! That's one of those things I've always been too intimidated to try to myself (I know, I know :nope: ) , so I'm always really impressed when someone does one for themselves.
Great little rack though, and now you can use it for future hatchlings! Oh, it also might tempt you to buy more snakes when those babies grow out of it... :dancer:

Yeah, it's slightly intimidating, and I'm terrible at visualizing things and math. But it actually isn't that bad at all! If you ever feel like building your own, make sure you measure the tubs yourself, the dimensions on mine weren't the same as they were on the label, just slightly off.

As for the hatchlings growing out of them... I've thought about that. Getting tempted to buy more babies. Fortunately, Mat killing me is enough of a deterrent! Thanks for the compliment!
