I got him from a local pet store who took him as a trade. A guy came in with the snake which he and his daughter (now same age as my daughter) raised since a baby. The wife took off with the kid and every time he looks at the snake he thinks of his daughter. :crying: So sad.

So... I had to make sure he has a good home. :dgrin: I have no clue about morphs or hets or whatever all so any clue would be great. All I know is that he's GORGEOUS and very socialized. Obviously a well-loved pet. He looks like metallic- copper in the sun. I'm in lurve!

He's always been live fed but I am hoping to convert him to frozen zombies b/c my daughter is already trying to rescue the feeders I brought home.

Oh, and he took a giant dump on my daughter while I was getting his (too small I think) habitat ready- boy that was GROSS!!! Gonna have to find a bigger hab for him.

Anyway- there he is. Any name suggestions? For now we're calling him Captain Poopers or Bubba.

I'm really not an expert on morphs, but the only thing I thought of when I saw this handsome guy, was another member's Alabama corns. Those are basically normals, but a locality trait like the Miami. (I think) Will be interesting to see what everyone else says! Great new addition, hope he'll switch to F/T easily for you!

Genetically he's a normal. But what a cool color! That's why I love normals, they variations are amazing! He looks very sweet! And I've been dumped on by a snake before, and you're right, EWW!
As for the tank size, at least a 20L should be fine. But he'd probably be happier in a 40 gallon!

I vote Normals as well, but a beautiful one, nice black borders. And BIG!! Getting pooed on isn't fun but generally I wait 3 days after feeding to hold mine again so they have pooed in the tank and not on me.

I was thinking caramel a little, too... but not really. You guys are probably right about the normal though there is very little/no red at all. (don't know if that matters)

Anyway, this big boy brings many new questions but I'll move that over to husbandry.

Looks to me like he's a bit dull and 'dirty' looking, and going into shed. (By which I don't mean he's actually dirty, just showing a brown wash under his skin at the moment)

What a big guy!! I bet he'd eat FT just fine. Just try it! Make sure the mouse is nice and hot, and I'd dry it off with paper towels or maybe even blow dry for the first one. He looks like a good eater- he probably doesn't care at all!

I think he's some kind of locality classic -- someone here had some WC from Alabama that were sorta similar for sale. But what he really is is BIG and friendly. Nice pickup!
