Just wanted to introduce myself...My name is Sarah, and my ghost cornsnake is Guadalupe (Lupe, Lupita, Lupitita...mostly I just call her Precious). Anyways, I wanted to put some pictures up of her, but I can't figure out how cause they're all too big. Can anyone help?

Welcome to the forum. One of our Cowboy members might be near you. :grin01:
But anyway look around and have fun.
Oh yeah...any pictures????? :shrugs:

Hi Sarah. Nice to see some more Connecticut folk in the board. I'm over in Windsor---and that other troublemaker (Roy Munson) is over there in Vernon. You gotta watch out for him.

:)

Welcome to the forums.

Hi Sarah. Welcome to the forum. :)

I'm from Vernon CT, and there are a few other CT members here too. There's my little sister (also named Sarah), Joejr14 (Joe) in Windsor, and BlackCourantTea (Bronwen) from Bristol. If you're looking for any baby snakes this spring or summer, Joe and I can hook you up! ;)

And I was trying to be nice by including you in my sales pitch. Disregard what I said before Sarah, and only buy from me. :grin01:

Just between you and me Sarah.
Roy snake are very vein.
They alway have their picture taken.

Insecure snakes :sidestep:
Could be a feeding issue. :shrugs:

:grin01: :grin01: :grin01:

That's interesting that we're all in the same part of the state...I'm in Enfield, and I'm originally from Vernon.

I'll have to think about that getting a new snake thing...it's kind of intimidating when you think about how long they live, but I'm such a sucker for their cute little faces! Maybe once I get a handle on Lupita (the little brat who keeps biting me like it's her job), I'll consider another...

Ok, I figured out how to resize my pic for my profile, but I can't figure out how to put pics in a post...argh...

ALSO: Since I can't figure out how to post pics, here's a link to my blog, where I have pictures of her:

Snake Page on My Blog

They're old pics...from September when I got her, but my camera is broken. She's much bigger now, but still way cute. I need to get a new camera asap.

If you scroll down in the "reply" window where you type your reply, you'll see a button marked "manage attachments". Click it. In the window that opens, you can click "browse" to find a file on your hard drive. Double-click on a file, then click "upload" in the attachments window. Do this for each photo. You can attach up to five photos per post, but none of the photos can exceed 800 pixels wide or 600 pixels tall.

There's a way to do it from a photo hosting website, but I don't do it that way...

There are two things from your blog that I'd like to address.

1. You bought large mouse pinkies, but you write that she chomped on a baby rat. Mice and rats are very different (rats are much larger than mice at each stage of development). If you ever need help here, you'll want to specify exactly what she's eating.

2. You state that she chomped the rodent with bedding stuck to it. You want to avoid this, as ingesting bedding can cause an intestinal impaction and kill your snake. You have a few options:

a. Feed your snake in a separate container with no bedding.

b. Use newspaper, or some other non-shredded substrate in her living enclosure.

c. Place the prey item in the middle of a paper plate or in a deli cup etc. to feed in her enclosure.

I hope this info is helpful. :)

And because I'm the bestest (and definitely better than that Roy Munson clown), here are your pictures:

Well, I did post all that stuff when I was very new to all of this, so I'm sorry if there is misinformation. Also, after the bedding incident, I've been feeding her on a dish, and all is well. Thanks for your help though...
