Meant bend your ear. Or pick your brain. Either way... welcome!
Would like a nice knife that can be used to open boxes, etc. at work. Needs to be a folder that can easily open with one hand. Maybe 3-4" blade?
Here's my top 6 picks. I decided to pick them from varying price points, since I wasn't given a budget.
From Top to Bottom.
1) Kershaw TiLT Only 480 made, uses Vanax 75 stainless steel, carbon fiber scale, and titanium framelock(around $400-600)
2) ZT 0700 Only 600 made, S30V stainless steel, G10 handle, and a (thick) liner lock (Around $100)
3 Benchmade Griptilian Production knife, uses FRN (fiber reinforced nylon( strong plastic)) uses 154cm stainless steel, AXIS lock (debatable the strongest lock made) (around $70 for the fullsize) ($60 for the mini Griptilian. 3" blade)
4) (BASE MODEL) Kershaw Blur Production knife Aluminum handles, with rubberized sandpaper for grip, liner lock, 14C28N stainless steel,
**SPRING ASSISTED** (they ARE legal) (many variants, but the base is around $50-60)
5) Kershaw Knockout Production knife Aluminum handle, 14C28N stainless steel, frame lock,
**SPRING ASSISTED** (they ARE legal) (around $60)
6) Spyderco Persistence
**this is the only knife not made in USA (China)**But super high quality** Production knife 8CR13MOV stainless steel, G10 handle, liner lock, (around $35) (you can get the bigger brother, the Tenacious for around $40)(3.5' blade)
All of these weigh less than 4oz
Please bear in mind, that the Griptilian in the picture is customized, so it'll look different. And also that the Persistence, and Blur is a limited edition, so the base model will look different.
