Hello all....

I lurked around here for about two weeks without actually joining, but after reading some of the great information on here I decided to go ahead and join, and get my first Corn Snake!
I am really excited, and have been reading up on everything I can...and will continue to utilize the wealth of information on this website, and hopefully get to know some others in the hobby as well.

I picked up my first Corn Snake two days ago, it is a Male Okeetee Het Lava.
I am going to post some pictures of him in the Photo Gallery, along with his tank...which I took some tips from the DIY section to add to the look ;)

To whoever started this site, I want to say thank you for providing newcomers like myself somewhere to get great information on my new pet!

Thanks,
Joe

Hi Joe, and welcome to the forum! Rich Z. is the man who started it, yet there are so many other experienced and helpful individuals here. Please post at least one pic of your new Addiction...I mean, 'addition' in this thread so everyone can oooohhh and aaaahhh.

Haha...I have heard it's an addiction...thankfully right now I am limited by space...but I can definitely see adding another one...or two in the future :)

Here he is...and I'll link to my Photo Thread too!

He went into deep blue the day after I got him home, so he's not lookin' his best here :)

I do have a scale (after reading the forums and stumbling across the Munson Plan I figured I'd need one)...I am going to try right now actually :) He does have good size to him for sure though, which is what I was looking for in my first Corn Snake...

LOL...the cheesy grin of a proud parent! Sounds like you're really getting around the site quite well and finding great information...good for you!

Lol....I am really excited to see him after his shed! He is already clearing up a little from the pictures posted (which I took yesterday)...so hopefully here in the next couple days :)

I explained it in the other thread, but my friends Uncle is a small-time breeder who is local to me, so after reading up on here for a couple weeks, I went over and picked him out :)

oh boy, another martinsvillian. There's another one lurking around here somewhere. :p

Welcome to the forum from a former Seymoron!
