New owner, heating question

JadasMommi

First time snake owner
I guess my only real question is about heating. I live in South florida, and I keep my house temp 80 degree's during the day, and 78 at night. When the windows are open, the house gets no more above than 85 degree's and has a cooling of 80 at night. I do have a heating pad underneath Jada's tank/half of it. I need to get a thermometer yet so I can see the temp and humidity inside the tank. It's the only thing i don't have, and it's going to have to wait until the next pay check comes. Great lol.
I am just wondering how much heating/cooling i should be doing with the conditions of my house and weather here.

as long as your temps stay above 75 i'd just leave the heat pad off, it's better to have a heat gradient but they can do well without it as well if the ambient temps are warm enough.

I'm basically a noob, but I'm going to guess that, since there are corns living wild in South Florida, those temps should be just fine. :)

You live in So Florida and you dont air condition at all?

No no we air condition!! Mainly to keep a constant temp and humidity in the house for us,the kids, and all the furkids n snake! It's almost like we don't need to a/c, because mose of the time we have the window's and house all opened up, with the a/c on so that when it gets too humid, the air will go on, and thats our que to close up the house.
