I'm not very new to keeping exotics, but this is my first snake. I got him while out getting crickets and really couldn't pass him up. I had been toying around with this idea for a while and got all the supplies "in case."
He is very friendly and entertaining; already I like him ;)

I have done some extensive browsing, but any *crucial super obscure* knowledge out there for a newb? I keep arachnids, frogs, and cats so I got the super basic stuff down, like not to bother with the crap thermometers, etc.

Hi and welcome! Be sure to go to all the topics on this site, at the top of each there will be "stickies" that are tips about corn snakes and general site info. Also, here is a great care sheet one of our members, Nanci, put together that will help a lot.

Thank you! I have checked a lot of them out. There seems to be pretty useful info, but I also intend on grabbing a nice book. The petstore I had was pretty limited with literature, restricted to just some herp periodicals. Then *of course* about a thousand books on every kind of dog ever :nope: haha

It just so happens that two of the best books ever were written by two of our members! Here is a link to them, you will learn a lot.
