So... My little sweetheart was acting kinda funny. He wasn't moving much, and when I went to pick him up, he gave me the "one inch closer and I will BITE you" look, so I backed off. Monday night, he scared the heck out of me by not eating, which he'd been getting so good about... Then last night, when going to change his water, he decided to be cooperative and that's when I noticed he was getting ready to shed. I came back this afternoon, noticed he had shed (completely, as I triple-checked the skin) and decided to try feeding him again..and he was on it in a heartbeat. ..which has never happened, mind you. Usually he stares at it for about an hour. But I managed to take pictures, so I thought I'd share!

nice looking lil anery A there :*) Sometimes they don't want to eat preshed, and if he wants to bite you let him get it out of his system. If you hesitate and get nervous it can condition them to react like that to you. And baby bites aren't much more than a tickle ;)

Well, it was moreso me taking out his water dish to fill it, and usually I take him with me, so I just kinda left him there. :) Thanks much, though!

Sutefu,

I'm wondering if you used frozen/thawed mice? The mouse in this pic looks very dry. I just wondered.

By the way the mouse's are splayed out in the second picture, I would guess that the mouse was live? But I could be wrong..

dizeedoo: Unfortunately, we've tried several times to get Eris to eat frozen, and he adamantly refuses to get near it, so.. He eats live.

:) And thank you for your compliments, everyone! His gray got so much lighter after he shed, he's a gorgeous little thing.

Thank you! :D I'm kind of amazed that his top half got liter, and his bottom half got lower after he shed... Oh well!
